Dropping some steel rain in the California dessert while testing new hardware for the Marines.

If it weren’t for stupid ideas I wouldn’t have many.

Hey, I’m Eric, and I run Stronghold Armory. I’m a former Marine Corps armorer, but I’ve been working on guns since I was a kid. I’ve always been fascinated by anything mechanical and would constantly take things apart in my house much to my parents’ disapproval. Growing up in restrictive California only fueled my interest in guns because they were so taboo in my social circles.

I got the name Stronghold Armory from my time in the Marines, as that’s what we called our armory: The Stronghold. So I wanted to pay homage to that part of my life. While being an armorer is mainly about just changing parts, don’t let that dissuade you. My shop features a milling machine, lathe, shop press, MiG welder (with TiG on the way), and more firearms specific tools/jigs I probably should have.

So drop me a line. I specialize in building AK pattern guns, and I love it when they’re unique. But I’ll gladly build standard, clone-correct guns as well. Check out my portfolio for examples of my work.
